RN TRANSITIONAL RECRUITMENT PROGRAM

Using a traditional direct placement recruitment method, our team works our nurses through the process as efficiently as possible, so our recruits can obtain U.S. nursing license in as little as 90 days to 6 months. (A much shorter timeline than a typical international recruitment process.)
Additionally, FREEDOM promotes a Transitional Program Option to expedite the fielding timeline for our RN recruits. This entails coordinating travel stateside as soon as practical and employing our RN recruits as CNAs while they are preparing for the NCLEX and U.S. licensure.
Fielding times for clients utilizing this program can be greatly accelerated and reduced to 30 days or less.
FLORIDA ENDORSEMENT
FOR PUERTO RICAN RNs
Because Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, its RNs already hold a license issued by a U.S. jurisdiction, so they can pursue Florida licensure by endorsement, a route not open to internationally educated nurses.
Florida's MOBILE Endorsement pathway issues the license within seven days once all requirements are met. Requirements are set by the Florida Board of Nursing and can change.
FREEDOM confirms the current requirements with the Board for every placement, and manages the application, credential verification, and licensing process end to end.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Answers for hospital talent acquisition leads & nurse managers
evaluating Puerto Rico recruiting as a staffing channel.
Do nurses recruited from Puerto Rico need a work visa to work in U.S. hospitals?
No. Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens, so the healthcare professionals Freedom Resource Group recruits can live and work anywhere in the United States with no work visa, no sponsorship, and no immigration paperwork. Our recruits are also bilingual (English and Spanish), which is a direct advantage in patient-facing hospital roles. This makes Puerto Rico recruiting a faster, simpler alternative to visa-based international healthcare staffing.
Do Puerto Rican RNs have to pass the NCLEX to work in the mainland U.S.?
Requirements are set by each state Board of Nursing, and most require the NCLEX. Freedom Resource Group supports every recruit through it: we provide an NCLEX prep and review course, handle the nurse application with the Board of Nursing, and manage NCLEX registration, with each recruit's progress monitored through an online administrator dashboard.
Can a Puerto Rican RN be licensed in a mainland state by endorsement?
Often, yes. Because Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, its RNs can pursue licensure by endorsement in states that accept a license issued by another state, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory, which is a route not available to internationally educated nurses. Florida, for example, offers an expedited MOBILE Endorsement pathway for applicants meeting its criteria, and issues the license within seven days once all requirements are met. Criteria vary by state and do change. Freedom Resource Group confirms the current requirements with the applicable Board of Nursing for every placement and manages the application and verification process on the recruit's behalf.
How quickly can a Puerto Rican nurse be fielded to our facility?
Standard RN licensing and fielding typically takes 90 days to 6 months. Through our RN Transitional Recruitment Program, fielding times are greatly accelerated, in some cases to 30 days or less, depending on the role, the state, and the recruit's experience and existing credentials.
What healthcare roles does Freedom Resource Group recruit?
Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), medical technicians, allied health professionals, environmental service technicians. We also handle special personnel requests for specific facility needs.
What support does Freedom Resource Group provide during recruiting and licensing?
End to end support: advertising and recruiting, an interview process with a video introduction, drug screening and background checks, secure document management, verification of credentials and medical licenses, an NCLEX prep course, the nurse application with the Board of Nursing, NCLEX registration, and ongoing guidance with progress monitored through an online dashboard.
